JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Experience conducting routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, both diesel and gasoline powered.
  • Experience troubleshooting/diagnosing heavy equipment, fleet vehicles and machinery for faults and repairs.
  • Practical knowledge and sound problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct field visits to other company locations to backfill or perform emergency work.
  • Use CMMS system to input Work Request, Purchase Request and withdraw spare parts to jobs in a timely manner.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on work orders.
  • Able to repair hydraulic systems, make hydraulic hoses and install on machinery.
  • Maintain/responsible for all company owned tools and parts cribs.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA regulations and Company Safety Policies.

SKILLS

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems at the board and component level
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment systems and operation
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Experience working with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Bi-lingual Atmosphere. Knowing Spanish is not required, efficient and effective communication with non-fluent employees is.
  • Eager to learn, team player, reliable
  • High School Diploma, Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or similar preferred.
  • Must have a valid US Driver’s License, CDL preferred.
  • Safe lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Efficient – able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • Honest – Speaks plainly and truthfully. Earns trust and maintains confidence.
  • Attention to Detail – Doing things the right way the first time.
  • Proactive – Ability to foresee problems and stop them before they happen. Acts before being told what to do.
